Board of Directors
He holds a Master’s Degree in Development Studies from Bugema University and a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering from Makerere University. He has attended various skills development sessions. He has 20 years of work experience. Currently he is the Regional Coordinator for West Nile on SESIL (Strengthening Education Systems for Improved Learning) programme under Ministry of Education Uganda implemented by Cambridge Education, a subsidiary of Mott Mac Donald (an International company based in the UK). BOD Member-Chair HR Committee
He has Human Resource experience spanning for not less than 7years. He worked as Senior Human Resource Officer with formerly Arua Municipal Council (now City) for 4 years. Currently he is the Principal Human Resource officer of Maracha District Local government. Before Mukili joined local government, he worked as a Graduate teacher in Lords Meade Vocational College in Jinja district. Mukili holds a Bachelor’s degree of Arts, (Arts) from Makerere University. He also acquired a Master’s degree of Arts in Development Studies from Uganda Martyrs University. Cosmas is currently pursuing Masters in Management Studies (Human Resource Management option) with Uganda Management Institute.

Mr Asea is a former banker turned business man. He worked for over 20 years as a banker in Centenary Rural Development Bank, where he rose through the ranks to become branch manager before he took early retirement. Professor Geoffrey A. Buga
Professor Buga is a professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Walter Sisulu University and Nelson Mandela Academic Hospital, Mthatha, Eastern Cape, South Africa where he has worked for the last 27 years. He is a very experienced medical educator, and has served on a number of occasions as External Examiner for undergraduate and postgraduate students in obstetrics and gynaecology at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, College of Health Sciences, Makerere University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in medicine and a master’s degree in obstetrics and gynaecology from Makerere University, and a PhD from Trinity College, University of Dublin. Mrs Buga is a retired former Dean of Students of Kyambogo University. Prior to joining Kyambogo University for 5 years in 2010, she worked in Makerere University for 25 years, and rose through the ranks from Warden to Senior Warden and then Deputy Dean of Students. She has extensive experience in university administration. She holds a Bachelor of Science plus Education degree and a Master of Education degree from Makerere University. Mr Matua is the brainchild behind Nile Micro Finance-NMF, and serves as the Chief Executive officer and Managing Director from the inception of NMF in 2008. Prior to that he worked for six years in Centenary Rural Development Bank as a loans officer and Head of loans department, after which he joined Development Finance Company of Uganda (DFCU) Bank where he worked for five years as Operations Manager, and then as a Relationship Manager. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Makerere University, majoring in Economics and Rural Economy, and Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Bugema University. In addition, he has a certificate in banking from Uganda Martyrs University-Nkozi, a certificate in Micro Scale banking from Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial services (UIBFS), a certificate in Relationship Management from DFCU bank, a certificate in Community Development from Baptist Global Response (BGR) and a certificate in Corporate Governance from Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Services (UIBFS), Certificate in Product Development & Branding/ Rural & Agricultural Financing from School of African Microfinance (SAM), Certificate in Agricultural Financing and Risk Management from UIBFS among others. Assistant Credit Administrator
Drasiku Nichola has been with Nile Micro Finance (U) Ltd for over Ten (10) years now a period within which he has contributed greatly to the development of the institution, he previously worked in the position of Senior Loans Officer over Four (4) years before been promoted to the current position of credit administrator. He is CPA Associate member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU), he holds Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Accounting) of Makerere University, Diploma in Cooperative and Business Administration (DCBA) of Uganda Cooperative College - Kigumba, Diploma in SACCO and Microfinance Management (DMF) of Uganda Cooperative College – Kigumba. He has held positions in other reputable organizations: Accounts Assistant of Arua Diocesan Priests’ Union (ADPU) in Arua Diocese, Loans officer of Anyafio Cooperative Savings and Credit Society Limited (Anyafio SACCO), Community Facilitator of Community Empowerment for Rural Development (CEFORD), Teacher of Nyadri Urban Senior Secondary School.
Finance Administrator and Human Resource Manager
Mr. David serves as the Finance Administrator/HR Manager of Nile Microfinance (U) Ltd. He holds Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Accounting option) from Uganda Christian University, he has diploma in Business administration (UDBS) (accounting) from Makerere University Business School. In addition he has certificate in Project Planning and Management, Certificate in Agricultural Financing and Risk Management.
